About Jakarta
Jakarta has been affectionately nicknamed the “Big Durian.” And rightly so. Just as the namesake fruit, Jakarta is a place some will absolutely love, while others will find a little off-putting. The overcrowded capital offers lots of shopping, historic attractions and great eats. At the same time you’ll also have to endure the traffic jams, congested walkways and polluted streets. The seeming chaos is what makes Jakarta such a wonderful city to visit. With so much happening all the time, you never know when you’ll get to discover something wonderful.
